As a young girl, I always struggled with self- confidence, the need to fit in was far greater than being my unapologetic self. At the age of 11 my family and I relocated to the Cayman Islands from Jamaica, where life was different and I struggled a lot with fitting in. I became so obsessed with what people think of me, that I lost control over myself and I constantly needed reassurance from everyone to do everything.
I lost my power and myself, until the age of 18 when I started making jewellery. Making jewellery was my form of meditation, where I would look deep within, to find my true self without even knowing it at the time. Since finding myself, I now have the reassurance and the power to express myself more freely and I do this mainly through my jewellery.
My creations are simple yet refined, as that there is so much beauty in simplicity and your jewellery should enhance your confidence not over power it, because Life is too short to not be your unapologetic self.
Dare to be confident. Dare to be bold. Dare to be YOU.
